With threatening storm clouds moving the Oklahoma City, the Hometown Heroes contest moved to Industrial Skatepark on the south side of the city. Plenty of rippers came out to skate the brand new skatepark.
Shawn Kelly came out for another Hometown stop and took third place. He did a nosegrind 180 down the rail and a gap to crook on the pyramid.
Kyle Walker was killing it and it was a tough choice but he ended up in second. He did a fakie tre down the gap and gap to nosegrind on the pyramid. He also backside nosegrind 180’d the ledge across the gap.
Josh Love took first with his variety and hard tricks. He did a front blunt on the ledge across the gap. On the pyramid he did a shifty flip and nollie backside flip. He also killed the double set with a vengeance landing switch flip and switch heel.

The Lincoln, Nebraska Hometown Heroes contest was moved to Omaha, Nebraska. It was cool to hold the contest where some newer faces came out to compete for first. Cory Foster was ripping the stairs and hip but didn’t make the top three.
It was Austin Jensen who made it into third place with his high-speed technical maneuvers. He did a tre-flip 50-50 on the pyramid ledge and landed a kickflip crook down the hubba.
Bruce Abraham ripped all day with smooth style and a nice choice of tricks. He was putting lines together including a front feeble on the flatbar and blunt kickflip on the quarter. He also tailslide across the pyramid to fakie.
Jeff Fowler killed the entire course with ease. He did a back tail front 180 out on the pyramid ledge and on the long flat ledge he did a 5-0 to switch crooks 360 shuv out.

After the rain dried up, we were ready for the Hometown Heroes contest with Escapist at Penn Valley Skatepark in Kansas City. Hometown Heroes veteran Josh White was ripping the park as well as most of the other skaters in attendance.
Former Kansas City local, Weston Sparks took third place. He was killing the 8 stair with a front blunt to fakie down the handrail and a nollie back heel down the stairs.
Mikey Santillian skated everything well all day and ended up in second place. His frontside half cab over the Function cooler was amazing! He also front shoved the 8 stair as well as back salad 180 down the handrail.
Matt Doelling took first place with his variety and consistency. He tre flipped over the Function cooler and big spin front boarded the bump to flatbar. On the 8 stair, he got nollie flip, tre flip and nollie front board down the handrail.
