Cream City Skatepark (map)
So to kick off the HH Tour this year, we went to an old familiar spot…Cream City Skatepark just outside Milwaukee. It’s a super-fun sized park with tons of great lines and some of the best graffiti in the country gracing its walls. TJ Bohach won his second straight HH comp in Wisconsin with his big back of tricks and got invited to compete in the HH Finals at X Games this year. Insanely fast-paced Max Murphy got second and Illinois transplant, Mike Piwowar got third.

Wilson Skatepark (map)
Back to the home of HH, and it was a great way to kick off the summer at Wilson Skatepark with an old-fashioned skate jam. Live DJ’s courtesy of Affiliate Skateboards, an I-path demo courtesy of Uprise Skateshop, and a few hundred free burritos courtesy of our friends at Chipotle were great, but the loud huddled masses around the 8-stair was the highlight of the day. Previous HH winner, Kevin Erst took first again with his effortless style both down the set and the hubbas. Emmet Duffy landed tough flip tricks and landing bolts most of the time to take second, while Ozzy rounded out the top 3. The day before a marathon session went down at the Roselle skatepark…check the edit.

Forest Park Skatepark (map)
We barged the colorful Forest Park Skatepark in Noblesville for a fast-paced snake session comp; just like the first two stops, a previous HH winner took the cake, I smell conspiracy… Although you couldn’t argue with the amount of hard tricks that Alex Longcamp threw down on all the different obstacles on his way to the win and trip to the HH Finals at X Games. Jesse Kirby took second, followed by young Brandon Murray in third.
Right after the comp, we went right to Rise Skateshop in Carmel to check out their video premiere going on that night. We brought along the crew from Chipotle to serve up some burritos for everyone that showed up. Needless to say, they were psyched…nothing better than skateboarding and free burritos! Check the street footy we got in Indy while we were there too…

Kettering Skate Plaza (map)
The morning we woke up to head out to Kettering, Josh and Solomon had bed bug bites all over (photo), and “someone” clogged one of the toilets in one of the hotel rooms…Yeah Best Western! When we pulled up to the Skate Plaza, Matt dared Josh to toss himself down the 12-stair right out of the van, with no warm-up or roll ups…check the clip!
Like always in Kettering, the snake session was down the 9 stair/rail/hubbas. The half-naked Al Cochran took first with front board, lip, and crooks down the rail, with nollie half cab, switch ollie, and 180 over the rail. Allan Krohn and Kyle Lay took 2nd and 3rd respectively.

Ollie's Skatepark (map)
Two days in Cinci with two days of rain. Luckily Ollies Skatepark in Florence, KY is just 20 minutes away. The Finals were the best on the tour so far and the hardest to judge. Devin Abner laid down the best tricks for first place, and then later won the first Zumiez Destroyer award when he landed a perfect frontside flip down this church 11 stair in Cinci…he picked up a $200 Gift Certificate just for that trick alone. 2nd went to Fletcher Renegar who barely made the finals in 6th place, but then killed it once he got in. 3rd went to Cody Heil who killed it all day long.
Brad turned 21 on Thursday so we hooked up with Ben, Devin, and the rest of the crew to show us around and take Brad out. Plenty of pool, bad dancing, and loud singing went down. We picked up Gene Turner for the rest of the trip too.

Sixth Ave. Skatepark (map)
The rains followed us from Louisville to Nashville, but another common theme has followed us his year too…past HH winners continuing to win this year, and Nashville was no exception. Colt Hall blew away everyone in the jam session style contest, as he puts together an almost 2 minute flawless run. Colt skates everything, and does it with an effortless style too. Jon Cousino took second and Andrew Lapenna took third of all the Nashville talent…on to Atlanta!

Progressive Skatepark (map)
Back to Solomon’s hometown for a few days, we stopped by 5 points to check out Stevie Williams’ shop, Sk8tique It has a fun mini in the back that we sessioned for a while, then Stevie showed up too. It seems like every town has weirdos that somehow we always run into and the ATL is no different.
A bunch of the guys are broke off already and should be good to go in a few days, so Bryson is winning the footy contest so far. Speaking of contests, we cruised up to Progressive to do the HH comp, and all the good guys were there to try to rep Atlanta in the HH Finals. Kyle Register got third, Fletcher Renegar took second just like he did in Cincinnati and Warren Devarennes claimed the win with super smooth flip tricks on both pyramids like fs flip, bs flip, nollie heel, nollie big spin, nollie bs flip, nollie big heel, nollie 360 and even a couple of switch tre flips…he hit the ledges and rails too! Congrats to Warren, see you in Cali.
Later that night we all went out for Josh’s b-day, got to bed around 4am.Thanks to our homie Rodney for hooking up some drinks and pool. Thanks to Mike and the whole crew at Progressive too. The guys definitely had a liking for the young ladies that worked there. Now we are off to Tulsa and Oklahoma City!
